SMMA Sixth Form score UCAS points with EPQ work.

Posted on: 3rd Dec 2018

In SMMA Sixth Form, our students can discuss the widest range of subjects – from ebola to the English Civil War.

These were just two of the fascinating topics covered by SMMA Sixth Form students' EPQ presentations this term. The EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) is equivalent to half an A Level, counting for 28 extra UCAS points, and an increasing number of universities include EPQs in their offers to students.

SMMA Sixth Form students presented subjects including feminism in politics, the ethical implications of using gene technology on human beings, and one student even produced a website on price comparisons for technological products. All the presentations were impressive for their research, knowledge and enthusiasm. Well done SMMA Sixth Form EPQ students!
