A Level Results 2020
The Academy’s Sixth Form has an established tradition of excellence, offering pupils across London and internationally the very best education which prepares them to accept offers at top tier universities.
The Academy is once again pleased to announce that our Year 13 cohort of 2020 has been hugely successful despite the significant challenge and turbulence which this year has brought. Daniel Goward, Head of Sixth Form, says “This year group has overcome adversity on many fronts and their success is a real testament to the well-rounded, hardworking and intelligent young adults they have grown into”.
Zoe Lambert secured an astonishing A*A*A*AA and goes up to Balliol College, University of Oxford, to read PPE.
Nabiha Ahmed achieved A*A*A* and heads off to read English at Newnham College, University of Cambridge.
Ruweyda Sheik-Ali achieved A*A*A and goes to Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge, to read English.
Abiola Ogbara goes to Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge, to read HSPS.
Imperial College and Medicine
Naoki Fukushima secured a flawless set of grades in the Natural Sciences with A*A*A* in Maths, Chemistry and Physics; he takes up a place at Imperial College to read Chemical Engineering. Fatima Osman achieved AAA and also goes to Imperial, to read Chemistry. Evodie Tongomo secured her place at Imperial to read Geology with AAA grades. Identical twins Abigail and Bethany Lambert, have secured places to read Medicine, Abi to the University of Cardiff and Beth to the University of Sunderland. Daryan Baker also heads off to read Medicine, he will be at Kings College, London.
There were other stellar results including:
Umayma reading Mathematics, Francy, reading Environmental Geoscience, Jackie, reading Politics and International Relations, Nusayba reading Astrophysics, Simeen reading Pharmacy and Zeynep, reading Architecture, all at UCL.
More Top Performers All achieved at least three A* or A grades
Ayat and Alpine are heading off to read for degrees in Nutrition & Dietetics and International Management respectively at Kings College London.
Harrison will be reading Aeronautics and Astronautics at Southampton University,
Krzysztof and Maverick, both reading Computer Science at Leeds,
Charlie, reading Modern Languages at Newcastle,
Joy, reading English Literature at Warwick,
Mae, reading Geography at Liverpool,
Sirin, reading Economics at QMUL,
Aaron, reading Chemistry at York,
Sirin is taking a gap year.
Across the board, our A Level students succeeded in gaining places at Russell Group and other great universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Kings College London, University College London, Imperial College, University of Durham, Queens College Belfast, University of Leeds, University of Southampton, University of Nottingham, University of York, SOAS, the University of Bristol, the Courtauld Institute of Art and many others.
