Liberal Arts Options choices

The Liberal Arts programme is a creative set of modules which focus on enriching pupils’ understanding of the world as well as developing their team work, presentation and feedback skills. This is now a well-established part of the Year 9 curriculum and offers a broad and balanced range of subjects enabling pupils to make good choices about which GCSE/level 2 subjects to take from Year 10.

As we are now in the summer term, we are writing to invite you to choose the Liberal Arts modules for your child for next year. We have put together a varied list of creative, inspiring modules, from which your child can choose three. Each module lasts a term so pupils change to a new module at the start of each term. Full information about the program and descriptions of each module can be found in the Liberal Arts booklet which is attached to this email.

Over the next week please read through the booklet with your child and submit their Liberal Arts choices, together with two reserve choices. We may need to use reserve choices if some courses are in high demand so please consider carefully the order in which you write your subjects as we will use this as your order of preference. It is also possible that some pupils will be given a module that is not one of your choices. The deadline for submission is Sunday 28 June and choices should be made using the online form, which can be found together with the booklet on the school website here Liberal Arts Module. Please be reassured that we will deal with all forms at the same time and not on a first-come-first-served basis.
