Aptitude Test 2026 (Entry into Year 7 in 2027)

Aptitude Test Registration for 2027 Entry to Year 7 - will open on Monday, 11 May 2026 at 8.30am and will close at noon on Friday, 3 July 2026.

Test Information

In order for your child to be invited to sit the Aptitude Test, you will need to complete an entrance test request form when your child is in Year 5. If your child has a sibling in Year 7, 8, 9,10 or 12 in the Academy at the time of applying for a Year 7 place (October 2026) we will not be able to invite them to sit the test. Your child will enter under the Sibling Category, and therefore, you should apply using the PAN London form on the Local Authority website.

The aptitude test takes place in the Autumn term on Friday, 2 October 2026. This is a 50-minute Verbal Reasoning test to establish an aptitude for language.

This test is not compulsory for entry into Year 7. We offer 18 places to those who score the highest; no other criteria for admissions apply to these 18 places.

VR tests involve reasoning with words and can identify pupils whose strengths lie in English, history, languages, and the arts.
Includes a variety of question types developed exclusively by GL Assessment
Test content is regularly refreshed to reduce predictability.
