Gillian’s thoughts on her new role:
"This is a very exciting time of change for St Mary Magdalene Primary School. I am looking forward to moving our very successful primary school into the new Academy and working in partnership with secondary colleagues.. To create one school for pupils aged 4 to 18 years is a unique opportunity.
We are in the fortunate position of being able to support our Year 6 pupils with a smooth transition into the secondary phase of their education, building on the strengths and successes our primary school has achieved. Talented staff, with wide ranging expertise are going to work collaboratively to give St Mary Magdalene pupils outstanding experiences and I know that standards of achievement are going to be exceptionally high."
Gillian takes on the role of Director of Learning, Head of Primary, with responsibility for the leadership and management of the primary department, Reception to Year 6.
