Chetna Patel
Director of Learning: Science and Technology
Chetna joined the leadership team of the Academy in April 2007, having previously worked as a curriculum leader in science and Head of Year at Northumberland Park Community School in Haringey. During her time there, she received good feedback from Ofsted on her leadership and management skills and enjoyed a secondment as Assistant Headteacher.
Chetna managed many other areas as part of her time at Northumberland Park, including PHSE, and was coordinator in science, mentoring and coaching of both staff and pupils.
Chetna's thoughts on her new role:
"This is such an amazing opportunity to be at the start of a new school where staff can plan and implement a curriculum that is strong, creative, innovative and full of scope. I have the highest expectation of what we can accomplish.
The inspired way the pupils will be taught in home bases will bring about a sense of calm that Year 7 pupils normally do not experience, and the presence of family groups will bring about cohesion and unity across the school. I am excited to able to be a part of this new beginning."
Chetna takes on the role of Director of Learning for Science and Technology and will also lead the whole-school developments in teaching and learning at the Academy.
