Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools to provide extra support for pupils who may be vulnerable to underachievement. This includes pupils with a free school meal entitlement and looked-after children.
The support is used strategically and provides a range of intervention and support that is specific to each child.
The impact of the funding should be attainment that is at least in line with the national expectations for all children. By the end of:
Foundation Stage – good level of development
Year 1 – meet the required standard in the Phonics Screening Test
At the end of Key Stage 1 – meet the expected standard in mathematics, reading, writing, grammar, punctuation and spelling
At the end of Key Stage 2 – meet the expected standard in mathematics, reading, writing, grammar, punctuation and spelling
