The Primary Department is led by Joy Parke, Head of Primary Department, and member of St Mary Magdalene Academy senior leadership team.

There are 210 pupils in the department and they follow a varied curriculum. From Reception to Year 6, a team of committed teachers and teaching assistants ensure that all pupils have the very best start to their education.

As well as a commitment to the formal curriculum, the Primary Department offers more than 20 clubs a week, including a breakfast club. In recent years, children have achieved great sporting and arts and music success at a local and national level.

The uniform for Primary pupils is simple and smart and available from the school shop or online.
