Jonathan Rust

What type of governor are you? Foundation.

Why are you a governor of St Mary Magdalene Academy? To support a church school in Islington – especially one that is also in our parish.

Which subject at school did you love best – and why? Geography: I enjoyed being able to imagine places I hadn’t ever seen.

What’s your favourite book of all time? Hard to say: Maybe Pilgrim’s Progress.

Who was your most memorable / inspiring teacher at school? Mr Orme. He made history very exciting, and he was a bit of a maverick, too.

What’s your favourite: chocolate or ice cream? Vanilla ice cream.

What are your hopes for St Mary Magdalene Academy? That it will be a success in every way.
