Year 3 go Roman for a day
28 January 2008

If you had ventured into Year 3 on Thursday 17 January, you would not have been met with a typical Primary classroom. Instead you would have been invited into an ancient Roman villa.

Year 3’s history topic this term is the ancient Romans, and to start their topic with a bang they had a Roman Day. All the children dressed in typical Roman clothes and were greeted by their teacher who had her very own toga.

Throughout the day, the children made ancient Roman food (in preparation for their banquet), mosiacs, sandals and shields, as well as information posters sharing all they had learned throughout the day.
