Visit to Chongqing School in China
13 November 2007

The Principal, Paul Hollingum, has just returned from a visit to our partner school in Chongqing. Click here to see a gallery of pictures of his visit.

The purpose of the visit was to confirm the details of our partnership and to discuss ways of developing it further.

At the centre of the relationship is a desire to share and learn from each other's experiences and to find ways to bring our staff and students together. To help us with our Chinese curriculum, they have agreed to release a teacher to us every year, which is a big commitment for them.

Students will have three opportunities for working with our Chinese partner...

> Joint curriculum projects – which will start next year
> Video conferencing – which will start later this year
> Exchange visits – to start at the end of Year 9

Mr Li, the Headteacher of Chongqing School, is excited by the development of our links and is looking forward to teachers and students working together.
