New appointment is recipe for success
16 August 2007
Tracey Mays (pictured right) took up her post of Chef/Catering Manager on 1 August 2007.
The Academy is committed to providing high quality and healthy eating for students and staff, and we are therefore delighted to have attracted a chef of the calibre of Tracey, whose employment history is in the highly competitive London dining scene. Tracey was previously the chef at The Livery in the City.
She has had her work cut out sourcing the best quality ingredients for the kitchens, but is now raring to get on with the real business.
For the first nine weeks, while the catering will be provided in the primary department hall, all students will be offered set meals. Once we have our full dining facilities, students in the secondary department will have additional dishes to complement the set meals.
Tracey has produced some sample menus – please click the link to see them. Once the Academy opens, a two-week menu will be published on the website so that parents/carers can see what their children will be eating.
Students at all levels will be involved in developing the menus and there will be plenty of opportunity to contribute ideas for the type of food they would like to see on the menu.
