Leading Teacher: Geography
Required for January 2009
Salary £42,599 – £44,379
The Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced teacher of Geography who will play a significant role in the growth, development and leadership of this visionary new Academy with the specialism of Humanities and Global Citizenship.
The Leading Teacher: Geography will be responsible for curriculum design and development from Year 7 to Year 13. The Academy is committed to the IB Diploma programme and establishing this successfully will be a major leadership task of the successful applicant.
We are looking for an innovative and accomplished teacher with a significant record of achievement at both Key Stage 4 and post 16 levels. The ability to motivate staff and students is essential.
The Academy specialises in Humanities and Global Citizenship, which is closely allied to our vision of Christian education, which allows for the development of the whole person. As a Leading Teacher you will have a significant role in establishing the Christian ethos of the Academy.
