The sponsor of the St Mary Magdalene Academy is the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), the education arm of the Church of England in London.
The LDBS is a Christian organisation committed to supporting and nurturing the 149 Church of England schools (including academies) across the Diocese of London. Its Director of Education is Tom Peryer OBE.
The LDBS aims to provide a first-class, all-round education for children and young people across the capital, whether they are from a Christian background, other faith or no faith.
While faith schools form a third of all schools nationally, they accounted for 60 per cent of the top primary schools in the latest performance league tables for primary schools.
