Lake Challenge Raises £2325!

A big well done goes to the 82 Sixth Form students who undertook this year's SMMA Lake Challenge.

Their magnificent efforts to hike around the Rydal Round and conquer the heights of Loughrigg Fell have raised a splendid £2325 – racing past our original target.

SMMA Year 12 students take part in a fundraising trip to the Lake District 2023

For the first time this year, EVERY SINGLE STUDENT on the trip managed the tough 12km climb up the Fell. Our intrepid team, all dressed in bright pink Cancer Research T-shirts, were rewarded with spectacular views of Cumbria, a rejuvenating fish and chips supper and the knowledge that their effort has raised a brilliant sum for our school charity Cancer Research UK.

Well done to the students, and a huge thank-you to everyone who has supported them so generously. You can see lots of photos below.
